Hurst Jaws of Life announces aggressive promotions for 2009

Hurst Jaws of Life announced today two aggressive promotions directed at municipal fire and rescue departments. The first promotion is designed to help fire departments with slimmer budgets as economic instability continues. A fire department can purchase a spreader tool and receive a set a rams for free. The rams are valued at $9,550.

The second promotion is directed toward upgrading department systems with the Hurst Streamline® coupling system.  A department may purchase any full sized power unit and receive three retro fit systems for their existing tools. The Streamline system is designed to allow rescuers to swap out tools while the hydraulic hoses are pressurized, eliminating the need for a rescuer to be at the pump to select or “dump” a tool. Many departments wish to upgrade their systems to the Hurst Streamline system but have yet to find funding. The retrofit sets are valued at $1,260.

“As budget constraints reduce the options for fire departments, we want to be sure that our customers are getting what they need,” states Aaron Guenther, Hurst’s vice president of sales and marketing. “The programs are designed to upgrade systems and capabilities for departments while money is tight. Just because funding is limited doesn’t mean that fire departments are not experiencing serious needs, this is our attempt to reward longtime Hurst users.”
