GammaTech Computer Corporation's DURABOOK D14RM is a rugged, slim and lightweight laptop with Intel Montevina platform. The Durabook is tested using Military 810 F Standard guidelines to ensure protection against drop, shock, spill and dust and is protected by a magnesium alloy case that is 20 times stronger than ABS plastic. In addition to a spill-resistant keyboard, touchpad and switches, the laptop's spill-resistant design stops spills from leaking into sensitive interior components. The unit also includes input/output port rubber caps to provide for dust resistance. Standard features include a 14.1" WXGA displaym LED lighted keyboard, Smart card reader, fingerprint scanner, 4 USB ports and a HDMI port for enhanced connectivity. Optional features such as resistive-type touch screen, built-in webcam and GPS.
