Gamewell-FCI’s FocalPoint Mobile, a wireless tablet PC, allows users to monitor multiple fire-alarm systems in real time. The rugged, military-spec tablet PC connects via a wireless network connection or cellular broadband. The unit mounts easily to vehicles or to an indoor docking station, or it can be hand-carried. From a single screen, users navigate a facility map to view specific floor plans or to identify the location and type of alarm. The system displays custom, site-specific graphics, floor-by-floor layouts and the location of all fire-system components (i.e., detectors and pull stations). All graphics can be updated to include new structures, fire-system components or identification labels.
