Walk on Water
Rescue Mat by First Alert is a 25-foot long, 5-foot wide floating device that is rolled out to facilitate an ice or water rescue, enabling the firefighter to immediately walk or crawl out to the rescue point. With no inflation required, Rescue Mat can be deployed in seconds, allowing teams to save critical time that is so precious in water-rescue operations. It can hold over 1,000 pounds of weight on open water. Rescue Mat is constructed with an ultra-buoyant foam core reinforced with a heavy-duty polyethylene woven fabric outer covering that enhances surface grip. For storage, Rescue Mat can be rolled up and placed on its side. The rolled mat measures 5 feet tall and 3 feet in diameter and weighs 55 lbs. It is packaged in a Velcro-fastening carrying case for quick transport from the vehicle to the point of entry.
