Quick Escape

Sterling Rope Company’s F4 auto-locking descent-control device for emergency egress or escape features a sleek, low-profile design. It’s lightweight, yet strong, and very simple to use. The F4 is certified to NFPA 1983, 2006 edition for escape and is approved for use with Sterling’s escape ropes, such as the FireTech 32 (developed and used by FDNY) and EscapeTech. The rope is easily pre-rigged by threading the rope through the four holes (as shown) for fast deployment.  In the last hole, the rope also passes through the release handle, which when squeezed releases the rope to allow easy horizontal movement or descent.
